I. About the Department
The Department of Computer Science was established in 1995 at AMS Arts & Science College for Women, marking a significant year with the grant of autonomy to the college. It is an interdisciplinary field focusing on both the theoretical and practical aspects of computer science. The department prides itself on highly qualified faculty and well-equipped computer labs with over 100 terminals, high-speed internet access, and Linux and Windows servers.
B.Sc (Honors) in Computer Science:
- Launched in 2023, this 4-year skill development course is designed for 60 students.
- The program emphasizes Artificial Intelligence and cutting-edge advancements in computer science.
Vision: To transform new entrants into IT professionals with critical analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
