Department of Psychology at Andhra Mahila Sabha Arts & Science College for Women, Department of Psychology was established in the year . The psychology department studies human behavior, emotions, and mental processes. It offers courses, conducts research, and may provide counseling services. Faculty focus on areas like cognitive, clinical, and social psychology.

Additionally, the department seeks to foster innovative solutions to psychological challenges and establish itself as a global leader in research and practice within the field of psychology.

Activities

• • On 28th July 2025, the Department of Psychology organized a Mental Awareness Program with the aim of encouraging open dialogue, breaking stigmas, and shedding light on the challenges and impacts of mental health—especially in the context of social media. The program provided a platform for meaningful discussions, fostering awareness and promoting mental well-being among students. Down Load

• Regular Parents – Teachers interaction through Parents – Teachers Meetings.
• Guiding Students for Entrance Tests for Post Graduation Programs.
• Faculty members and Alumni are donating books to the department library.

• Promote committed leadership and continuous professional development for staff through a participatory management process, focusing on holistic development and critical thinking.
• Guest Lectures and Seminars: Academicians to share their insights, enhancing students’ exposure to diverse perspectives.
• Interdisciplinary Approach: Collaborate with other departments (like Sciences,Life Sciences and Commerce) to provide a broader perspective on economic issues and helping them to prepare for Competitive Exams.
• Experiential Learning: Offer internships, field trips, and hands-on projects that allow students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings.
