Semester-wise Course Details

Semester Course Objective Outcome
Semester-I Differential Calculus Expose students to basic notions in differential and integral calculus. Applications of differential and integral calculus; solve partial derivatives and calculate lengths of plane curves.
Semester-II Differential Equations Introduce techniques of solving differential equations. Equipped to solve various types of differential equations and apply skills in science and engineering.

Highlights of the Department of Mathematics

International e-Webinar 2019

Details:

The Department conducted an international e-Webinar in 2019 with participants from the Philippines, Ibra, Sakhonnakhon (Thailand), Muscat, and Al Sharqiyah region north.

International e-Workshop 2020

Details:

One International e-Workshop was organized in 2020. Registered participants included attendees from Indian states as well as from Muscat, UAE, Philippines, Thailand, Dubai, Norway, New York, Dadra Haveli, Morocco, and the UK.

National Mathematics Day Celebrations

Details:

The Department celebrates National Mathematics Day every year, bringing together students and faculty to honor the legacy of great mathematicians.

Mathematical Models

Details:

The Department has 50 mathematical models created and prepared by students during 2017-18. These models are exhibited and presented by students during Science Day celebrations each year.

Vedic Mathematics Course

Objectives:

  • Useful for competitive examinations.
  • Motivates students of any level to learn mathematics.
  • Helps students lose their fear of mathematics.

Paper Presentation at International Congress of Mathematicians

Event:

The Department presented a paper at the International Congress of Mathematicians held in Hyderabad in 2010.

Guinness World Record Achievement

Details:

One of the Department members holds a Guinness World Record for participation in the Coir Singing event, “Annamayya Laksha Gala Archana.”
