Andhra Mahila Sabha Arts & Science College for Women was established by Padma Vibhushan Dr. (Smt). Durgabai Deshmukh in 1968 in Hyderabad, with Osmania University affiliation. Spread over an area of 4.16 acres the College is situated on the campus of Osmania University and is admitted to UGC under 12(f) 2(B). UGC has conferred autonomous status to the college in 2007. With imposing buildings, spacious lecture halls, well-equipped laboratories, an exclusive Learning Resource Centre, and a building of Architectural value having books of rare collections. Auditorium, Sports Facilities, Hostel accommodation, Mess/ Canteen facility, Health Centre, Placement Centre. Livelihood Centers are additional attractions of the institution. The college is a blessing for women students. The alumnae in turn have gratefully formed an Association to contribute in whatever manner possible to the good of the institution. Established in the year 2004, the Alumnae Association of Andhra Mahila Sabha Arts abd Science College for women has since been actively involved in supporting all the activities and initiatives at college.

  • To maintain fraternity among the old students of Arts & Science College for Women Andhra Mahila Sabha
  • To Provide Professional and Academic Guidance to the students of the college.
  • To provide encouragement to the deserving Students of the College by instituting prizes, Gold Medals, and Scholarships
  • To promote Telugu language and to encourage literacy pursuits of the students.

  • Established in the year 2004, the Alumnae Assocition of ANDHRA MAHILA SABHA has since been actively involved in supporting all the activities and initiatives at college.
  • The Association has been registered with the Office of the Registrar of Societies as “The Alumnae Association of Arts & Science College for Women ,Andhra Mahila Sabha ”, Hyderabad on Date 25th March 2004.
  • The executive body of the association meets once in three months and plans programmes to benefit the current students.
  • The General Body meets will he held once in a year to adopt the annual report –Audited statement of account,to appoint auditors, to approve the budget proposals and transactions.
  • The Alumnae meet annually and have Reunions to foster fellowship and share their experiences with the new members of the group.
  • Alumni members are also a part of the Board of Studies of their respective departments, this facilitates and offers valuable insights during the restructuring of the curriculum to upgrade the syllabus of the courses.
