The Vice Principal plays a vital role in supporting the Principal in the academic and administrative leadership of the college. The position focuses on maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and evaluation while fostering a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for women students.
Key responsibilities include overseeing academic planning, timetable management, and curriculum implementation in line with university and regulatory requirements. The Vice Principal monitors teaching quality, encourages innovative practices, and supports faculty development through mentoring and training initiatives. They also play an important role in student welfare by ensuring discipline, addressing grievances, and promoting participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities that contribute to holistic development.
In addition, the Vice Principal assists in institutional administration, coordinates between departments, and ensures compliance with accreditation bodies such as NAAC. The role also involves contributing to strategic planning, quality enhancement initiatives, and community engagement programs.
The ideal candidate should have substantial teaching and academic leadership experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and a deep commitment to women’s education and empowerment. The Vice Principal must demonstrate integrity, vision, and the ability to inspire both faculty and students toward academic excellence and personal growth.
